Add-ons are optional capabilities you switch on top of a module. Usage limits are the allowances your plan includes. They are related: some add-ons carry their own allowance.
How add-ons work
- They attach to a module — most to OPD.
- They are billed on top of your subscription, not instead of it.
- You add and remove them yourself: open Billing from your account menu, press Manage / Upgrade on your plan card, and tick or untick them under Enhance with add-ons.
- The page opens on what you already have — your plan pre-selected and every add-on you hold already ticked — and it submits your whole subscription, so change only what you mean to. Untick an add-on and confirm, and it is dropped at your next charge.
- Some are enabled per doctor rather than clinic-wide.
The add-ons
Digital prescriptions
Lets doctors write and sign prescriptions on screen, producing a PDF the patient can open. Controlled separately for walk-in and video visits — see Writing and signing prescriptions.
Video consultation
Adds video appointments: video slot rules, an embedded call for doctor and patient, and SMS join links. It needs Digital prescriptions, which is ticked for you when you tick this. See Setting up video consultations.
AI Pack
Voice dictation for prescriptions plus clinical suggestions while writing, with a pooled allowance shared across your enabled doctors. It is priced per doctor and also needs Digital prescriptions. Because it is metered, removing it ends it on your next charge date rather than immediately. See AI Pack: voice dictation and suggestions.
White-label patient app
Your own branded patient app, rather than patients booking through a browser. You tick it here; the app itself is then built and submitted to the stores by Treatlly.
Usage limits
Every plan includes allowances. The ones that matter day to day:

The plan cards do not print these numbers. The one place that shows your figures is Billing → Customize Limits, where every row reads "Plan default: N" beside your current setting.
What happens when you reach one
For the two daily allowances, the day is simply full: a booking that would go over is refused with "Daily online appointment limit reached" (or "Daily follow-up appointment limit reached"). Nothing is charged, nothing is queued and there is no waiting list — book the patient on another date, or raise the allowance. A completed, cancelled or no-show booking frees its place for that day.
For doctors, locations and slot rules, the add button is refused at the limit and nothing is added. Buy capacity before you need it rather than on a busy morning.
Customising limits
Press Customize Limits on your plan card. Each row — new appointments per day, follow-ups per day, doctors, locations and slot rules per location — shows its plan default, your current usage and the price of one more unit, with a stepper to raise it. Extra capacity is billed separately as its own monthly line and appears on the Billing page under Active Extra Limits. Raising a limit needs an active payment authorisation.
Watching usage
Open Billing: the Usage limits column shows a live bar for each tracked limit. New appointments today and Follow-ups today show today's bookings against your daily allowance on one bar in two colours — dark for bookings made online, light for bookings made at the counter — and the bar can go down during the day as visits complete or cancel. Under each bar is what one more unit costs per month. A small amber Custom tag beside a row means Treatlly has set that allowance for your clinic specifically.
Check it monthly. The two useful signals are consistently near an allowance — buy capacity or move up a plan — and consistently well under one — you may be on too large a plan.
